Whatever, Martha!: Moms and You Giveaway
We’re observing Mother’s Day again this year at Grrl TV!
FYI: Domestic diva and businesswoman extraordinaire Martha Stewart has a new show called Whatever, Martha! airing on cable’s Fine Living Network.
Unlike her daytime talk show The Martha Stewart Show, the new series is a combination of classic clips from Martha’s Emmy award-winning television series Martha Stewart Living, plus original commentary from Martha’s daughter, radio show host Alexis Stewart, along with her Whatever with Alexis & Jennifer co-host Jennifer Koppelman Hutt.
In celebration of Martha Stewart’s latest television venture, Grrl TV is hosting a weeklong Whatever, Mom! giveaway featuring a lovely Whatever, Martha!-branded apron as the prize. Kitchen gear doesn’t get any cuter — or more functional — than this for grown-ups I tell ya!
To enter the giveaway for a chance to be the Lucky Winner, just leave a comment on this post sharing a memorable domestic or kitchen-related experience you’ve had with your own mother and/or father.
Make sure to use a valid email address when commenting, and, please, only one entry per person. The giveaway entry period will end at 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, October 14th.
Afterwards, I’ll select the winner at random and contact him or her for mailing information, which must be in the United States for shipping purposes.
Check out a fun clip for Whatever, Martha! below and Good Luck!

My mom was never much of a cook, but she tried. Her cookies have always been more like awful biscuits or scones, really thick and gunky. I asked her to help me make cookies last year, and she grabbed the self-rising flour. I explained that’s why her cookie never turned out right, and we both had a laugh! She now makes nice flat cookies!

My parents were into organic, home grown food - well they were hippies and it was the 70’s. My dad was a “stay at home dad” and made all the baby food at home from food we grew. One day he pulled out some applesauce to feed me and remarked to my mom later that day that I just wasn’t liking it - but I ate it. My mom told discovered that her onions for that night’s chili were missing and quickly realized that dad had fed me an entire cup of onions! For years to come we made homemade yogurt, bread, grew tons of veggies and learned a lot about cooking and baking - we still laugh about the onions though. Cooking with my parents is one of my happiest memories as a kid, and now that they live next door to my family we do it with the grandkids too!

Martha deserves this; she was used as a pawn!
