No, it’s not the same as Bravo renewing the CBS summer series Swingtown; but at least the basic-cable network has given the show a longer lease on life by acquiring the exclusive cable rights to its thirteen-episode single season to date.
Earlier today, Bravo announced its plans to add the 1970s drama to its stable of […]

Well, this may be the complete and utter end, my fellow Swingtown watchers. When the final episode of the season, “Take It to the Limit,” airs tonight, it could double as the series finale, unless CBS comes up with an alternative plan for the poorly rated series soon.
In the meantime, on the currently so-called […]

Don’t let the title of this episode of Swingtown, “Surprise,” fool you because there are actually precious few surprises in it. In fact, the only incident that caught me off guard was a revelation concerning the Millers’ neighbor Sam. But I’m jumping ahead of myself, so let’s review […]

Actually, the title of this post is kind of inaccurate since there’s really not much to spoil. Swingtown returns tonight after an almost two-week absence with the next-to-last episode of the season — or is that series? — “Surprise.” Here’s what CBS says it’s all about:
“A surprise party for Janet sparks shocking revelations […]

The clock continues to run out on CBS’ Swingtown, which has three episodes left now until the season — series??? — finale on September 5 (the show will skip a week after the next episode and return on August 29).
On the August 15 episode “Get Down Tonight,” Janet follows through with her short-lived shrink’s idea […]

Swingtown fans, we’re now down to the last four episodes of the series. On the August 8 installment “Running on Empty,” Bruce’s plan to get his family back on track following the hookups gone amok on the previous episode is to take everyone out to that cabin in the boonies.
I think he forgets that […]

This episode is a hoot! Everybody’s hooking up — the adults, the kids, the teachers, the students, the married couples, the single people (aka “unicorns”), the swingers, the prudes! Too bad it took two months for it to air.
It’s about time for the Republicans to choose their presidential […]

On the August 1 episode of Swingtown with the most excellent title “Swingus Interruptus,” the Deckers and the Millers pursue different futures for their marriages. More specifically, while Tom and Trina decide to start having sex only with each other, Bruce and Susan get even closer to Brad and Sylvia.
Will the last two couples […]

Coming up on “Puzzlerama,” the July 25 episode of Swingtown, everyone attends Trina’s yearly party revolving around a game called Puzzlerama. Apparently, it’s a hit because it involves revealing dirt about neighbors, so what’s not to like? Throw in an orgy or two in the Deckers’ notoriously popular swingin’ basement and you have […]

Earlier today, CBS made a big and perhaps ominous announcement for fans of Swingtown. Starting this week, the retro drama will swap time slots with the Canadian crime-drama import Flashpoint. As a result, it will now air on Fridays at 10pm EST, while the latter show will move to Thursdays at 10pm.
The change […]
