It’s definitely been an eventful six-season run for the Showtime drama The L Word, which airs its series finale “Last Word” tonight at 9pm EST. Preceding at 8pm is the hourlong “Finale Special” to give the cast and crew (and fans) a proper TV sendoff.
During the last installment ever of the show, what starts out as a celebration of friendship quickly ends in a web of betrayal and deceit. The women come under investigation by Sergeant Duffy, who’s looking into Jenny’s untimely death.

Showtime is teasing the heck out of fans for the The L Word’s sixth and final season, which opens with the premiere “Long Night’s Journey Into Day” on Sunday, January 18, at 9pm EST here in the United States.
The come-on is that one of the L ladies is going to take her last breath, while another will take the fall for that tragedy. Who could each woman be? I honestly have no idea, and I guess that’s best for maximum tension when the season finally gets underway.

Weeds fans have a whopper of an episode coming up next Monday, September 15, with a whopper of a title. It’s the show’s fourth-season finale, which goes by the lengthy name "If You Work for a Living, Why Do You Kill Yourself Working?" (Is that a rhetorical question or what?) On the latest episode of Weeds, Monday’s "Till We Meet Again," Nancy contacted the DEA out of frustration, an improved Celia decided to make amends to her family, Doug learned about Andy and Maria’s new relationship, and Shane tried to impress his two new girlfriends with his ease acquiring drugs.

There’s only two more episodes left in the fourth season of Weeds, and Monday’s “Till We Meet Again” is the next to last one. It does a fine job building up some tension leading into next week’s finale, which has the long title “If You Work for a Living, Why Do You Kill Yourself Working?” Good question, too.

The latest episode of Weeds, “The Love Circle Overlap,” featured yet more intense but still funny and sometimes painful adventures for the show’s characters.
Nancy discovered another piece of information about the tunnel to Mexico at the mall, Doug and Maria reunited (although maybe not as completely as they wanted), Shane met two ready and willing girls, and, best of all — at least to me — Celia suffered through a family intervention to curb her addiction.

I’ll never understand how Weeds showrunners manage to pack so much into one tiny half-hour episode, but they do. Expect more wall-to-wall plot action on August 18th’s “The Love Circle Overlap.”
First and foremost, Nancy will learn something new about the tunnel to Mexico she recently discovered at the maternity store, and it has to do with more than just drugs. Also, Doug might finally have the chance to reunite with Maria, Shane prepares for a threesome (yes, you’ve got the right idea in mind), and Celia becomes the target of an intervention.

Last Monday’s episode of Weeds, “Little Boats,” continued the druggy adventures of Nancy, Esteban, and Celia, while Andy and Doug focused on their human-trafficking business and brothers Silas and Shane devoted most of their energy to hooking up.
