Love, love, love Fox’s new promo for its forthcoming Friday-night lineup featuring The Sarah Connor Chronicles at 8pm EST and Dollhouse at 9pm EST.
Although I’d already seen the Internet video, I caught the TV version for the first time tonight while watching Battlestar Galactica, and let’s just say the spot looks even better on the tube than it does on my computer screen.
Nice work, Fox! Your girls rock!

Another installment of Fringe, another dose of lethal what-have-you for Team Olivia.
During the February 10th episode “Ability,” the deadly threat happens to be an orifice-closing (!) toxin that makes its dead victims appear to have no face. Just when you thought the people behind this show couldn’t get any more bizarre with the plots…

The second episode of Fox’s new Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku series Dollhouse is called “The Target,” and it will air on Friday, February 20, at 9:01pm EST.
During her latest adventures as an undercover mind-wiped operative, Echo (Dushku) assumes the identity of something called an “ultimate outdoorswoman” for a mission that requires her to head out into the great, wide wilderness and be the dream date for a man who loves the outdoors. The February 20th episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles is getting kind of morbid, even for Team Sarah.
As the preview photos after the jump show, during “Desert Cantos,” the Connors et al work a funeral for clues to the latest catastrophe they must combat, a destroyed factory in a town. While they’re busy with that, Catherine Weaver also tries to get in on the action by sending her own investigator to find a survivor.

Next up on Fringe is the February 3rd episode “The Transformation.”
This time around, two members of Team Olivia go undercover to combat a mysterious virus after something goes down that’s eerily reminiscent of what started “it” all back on the series premiere.

Joss Whedon’s latest television project, Dollhouse, premieres on Friday, February 13, at 9:01pm EST, right after Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles in its new time slot.
First up is the revamped pilot “Ghost,” during which we’ll meet and learn all about undercover operative Echo (Eliza Dushku), one of a group of so-called Actives who live in the secret facility referred to as the Dollhouse.

Finally we get to spend a little quality time with the mysterious Kyle Reese when Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles returns to Fox on Friday, February 13, a new day for the series.
The first episode of 2009 is called “The Good Wound,” and this is the one where John Connor’s father Kyle Reese gets some substantial screen time at last … although he might just be one of Sarah’s hallucinations.

Everybody knows Battlestar Galactica is strong enough for a man, but made for a woman, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many kick-ass varieties of the latter, including Mary McDonnell’s Laura Roslin, president of the Twelve Colonies.

Fringe and True Blood got Paley!
It won’t officially announce the complete lineup until February 18, but Variety reports the Paley Center for Media has already selected two definite shoo-ins for the upcoming crowd-pleasing Paley Festival: Fox’s Anna Torv-led Fringe and HBO’s Golden Globe-winning Anna Paquin-led True Blood.
Besides intelligent and talented female stars with the same first name, the rookie shows have another thing in common: they’ve each done a fantastic job building a large, loyal fan base, which is why both were quickly picked up for full first seasons.

If you’re a Stargate Atlantis fan, as am I, you know that former Stargate SG-1 and current Sanctuary star Amanda Tapping was a regular cast member on the show last season.
You also probably know that tonight, January 9, at 9pm EST, the SG-1 spinoff Atlantis airs its series finale, “Enemy at the Gate,” after five satisfying seasons. And, yes — talented Tapping rejoins her former castmates for the final ride of the series.
