‘Wedding Day’ Time Slot Changed Again

‘Wedding Day’ Time Slot Changed Again

First Tuesdays, then Thursdays, and now this.
Don’t bother tuning in to TNT on Thursday nights at 8pm ET anymore to catch the latest fresh episode of the new original reality series Wedding Day. The network has once again moved the show to a different time slot, quietly and with no effort wasted on notifying viewers who happen to like the series.
As of now and until it’s moved yet again — although where it would go besides entirely off the air, I have no idea — Wedding Day will debut new episodes on Saturday mornings (yes, mornings!) at 9am ET (yes, …read more

‘90210’ and ‘Privileged’ Upcoming Schedule Changes

‘90210’ and ‘Privileged’ Upcoming Schedule Changes

How good was that fight between Charlie and Will on Privileged last night, huh? I believe that was the last episode for Michael Cassidy, who plays Charlie, as a series regular. And, there are other changes in store for the show, as well.
Yesterday, The CW announced that it’s shuffling the network’s schedule, and hence the airdates of 90210 and Privileged, to make room for the forthcoming seasons of Reaper and America’s Next Top Model. The details follow, so alter your TV-viewing calendar accordingly.

Beginning Tuesday, March 3, freshman drama 90210 moves to a new 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET timeslot …read more

‘Lipstick Jungle’ Moved Again

‘Lipstick Jungle’ Moved Again

If you’re one of the many viewers trying to show Lipstick Jungle some extra love now that the word is out its future is in danger at NBC, note that the network has relocated the show to a new time slot yet again.
Be happy, however, because on this occasion the change is a reward of sorts for the attention and increased ratings the series has earned following all of the recent interest in keeping it alive.
Effective the week after Thanksgiving, Lipstick will air its remaining four episodes an hour earlier on Fridays, at 9pm EST. The ultra boring historical-adventure …read more

‘The Ex List’ Yanked from CBS Lineup

‘The Ex List’ Yanked from CBS Lineup

If you’re a fan of Elizabeth Reaser’s freshman CBS dramedy The Ex List, I have bad news for you. The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd reports that the network has pulled the series from the Friday-night schedule as of this week, October 31. That means the series has become the first hourlong show to be yanked this season.
It’s not hard to imagine why, either. While the show’s paranormal lead-in Ghost Whisperer and crime-procedural lead-out Numb3rs both consistently earn respectable, if not downright excellent, ratings and often win their time slots, The Ex List has never been able to …read more

‘Swingtown’ Heads to Fridays

‘Swingtown’ Heads to Fridays

Earlier today, CBS made a big and perhaps ominous announcement for fans of Swingtown. Starting this week, the retro drama will swap time slots with the Canadian crime-drama import Flashpoint. As a result, it will now air on Fridays at 10pm EST, while the latter show will move to Thursdays at 10pm.
The change is potentially not a good sign for Swingtown since Fridays are widely known as a night when TV viewers are scarce. Ratings wise, the series has suffered from a steady decline, leading to its current average of 6.52 million viewers. That doesn’t sound …read more

Fox Fall Premieres Shift a Week

Fox Fall Premieres Shift a Week

Fox released a revised fall premiere schedule this week, and although all of the network’s shows will now make their 2008–2009 debut a week later, certain viewers have nothing to cry about. That would be those of us looking forward to the rookie paranormal drama Fringe, which, along with the midseason’s Dollhouse, will be undergoing a very special, notable experiment.
According to the network, as part of a plan called Remote-Free TV aimed at making Fox more competitive with cable networks, both shows will air every episode during their entire season with just five or so minutes of commercials and …read more
