Stephanie March Back for More ‘SVU’ Next Season

How’s this for good news? According to Entertainment Weekly, former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit regular cast member Stephanie March is returning to the show for a recurring gig during its upcoming 11th season.
If the report is true and accurate, March has already signed on the dotted line to reprise her role as New York Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot. She’ll stick around for at least ten episodes, and when she’s not around stretching her dedicated legal fingers to put crooks in the slammer where they belong, there will reportedly be one or more new characters on hand to …read more

2009-2010 Renewals: Law & Order: SVU, Fringe

2009-2010 Renewals: Law & Order: SVU, Fringe

NBC and Fox made lots of fans very happy today by confirming what was already generally expected: both the cop drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the paranormal/sci-fi FBI thriller Fringe will return to the tube for the 2009–2010 season. The renewals mark the impressive 11th go-round for the first veteran series and the sophomore run for the newcomer.
Although NBC is playing a bit of hardball at the moment with SVU stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni, the network had better hope both original cast members return. The issue in dispute is money, of course, in …read more

Carol Burnett Guests on ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Emmy and Golden Globe-winning legendary funnywoman Carol Burnett is visiting NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit tonight during the latest fresh episode “Ballerina.” Also putting in a guest appearance is Matthew Lillard, who starred as Shaggy in the live-action adaptation of Scooby-Doo and who recently guest starred on CBS’ rookie sitcom Gary Unmarried.

Stephanie March Returns to ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Tonight’s fresh episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is a very special one indeed because it marks the return of former regular cast member Stephanie March, who played A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot. Hands down, Cabot is my favorite SVU attorney ever. As far as I’m concerned, show runners have not done a good job replacing her in the two attempts since.
So, you know I’m nothing less than thrilled that March will be hanging out around her old TV show for not just one but several episodes. The explanation for her visit is that she’s on temporary …read more

90210, Privileged, and SVU Are Back!

The CW promised big plot developments when the last fresh episode of 90210 aired last year. So, when the show returns tonight at 8pm EST with “Hello, Goodbye, Amen,” the network had better deliver.
Also in store for Grrl TV fans are new installments of The CW’s underrated Privileged and NBC’s crime procedural behemoth Law & Order: SVU.

It’s Mariska on the ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Set

Goodness — could Mariska Hargitay be any more gorgeous?! There really is something about the actress, and it goes far beyond her physical attributes, too.
Recently, photographers caught up with the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit dynamo as she and co-star Christopher Meloni filmed scenes for their hit series. The pair were both hard at work in New York City’s Central Park, a familiar location setting for the Big Apple-based series.
Although fans have to make do with SVU repeats for now, new episodes kick back in next week at 10pm EST on Tuesday, January 6. First up is …read more
