Fear not, My Boys and Jordana Spiro fans. Home network TBS announced on Tuesday that the sitcom about Chicago-based, 20-something sportswriter PJ Franklin will live to see a third season. The run will have a total of nine episodes and will premiere in the first quarter of 2009.
Now all we have to do is wait patiently until then to learn the resolution of the Season Two wedding cliffhanger. Finale time has arrived for the second season of My Boys. On the August 7 episode “John, Cougar, Newman Camp,” PJ and the gang try to help out at Bobby’s wedding following his best man and older brother Jack’s desertion at the end of the last episode.
Mike will also continue his “tryst” with older woman Maggie (Mimi Rogers), and we’ll get to see if that make-out session between Stephanie and Kenny has any real potential. I’m thinking it doesn’t, but what do I know?

Next week’s episode of My Boys is the show’s second-season finale, so enjoy the July 31 episode, “Jack and Bobby,” as much as you can.
When the entire gang goes to Bobby’s flirtatious father’s California ranch for Bobby’s wedding, tension develops between the groom and his brother Jack, who’s pursuing PJ.
Meanwhile, Mike gets lucky with an older woman (Guest Star Mimi Rogers), and a bout of kidney stones ruins the occasion for someone else.

The July 17 episode of My Boys is called “Dudes Being Dudes,” and the title pretty much says it all.
PJ’s boys attend Bobby’s bachelor party, and she’s not too thrilled that she has to go to Elsa’s shower instead, especially when her best friend Stephanie gets all of the attention, thanks to her new relationship book You’re a Great Guy But: A 21st Century Guide to Men.
Only more tension is in store for PJ when she decides to discuss the topic of Jo with her brother Andy, begging the question of whether she’ll ever get a break. Probably not …read more

On “Take My Work Wife…Please,” the July 10 episode of My Boys, My Big Fat Greek Wedding’s Nia Vardalos returns to play Andy’s workplace “friend” Jo.
Of course, the gang is convinced the two colleagues are getting it on, which prompts Andy to set Jo up with Mike on a date. That wouldn’t be so bad if only Mike weren’t such an unrepentant lech.

The next episode of the TBS sitcom My Boys is called “Dinner Party.” Appropriately, PJ decides to throw a party for some single people at the suggestion of her best friend Stephanie.
You see, after writing a relationship book in a sitcom minute — literally — and then having no less than three publishing houses drooling over the possibility of acquiring the rights to said book, Stephanie is more confident than ever that she knows exactly what PJ needs to do to find her dream man, hence the party. Comedy lovers have something to look forward to tomorrow night — the second-season premiere of Jordana Spiro’s TBS sitcom My Boys. This summer’s run opens with an episode called “The Transitioning,” which airs at 9:30pm EST, right after the second-season premiere of The Bill Engvall Show.
