Another installment of Fringe, another dose of lethal what-have-you for Team Olivia.
During the February 10th episode “Ability,” the deadly threat happens to be an orifice-closing (!) toxin that makes its dead victims appear to have no face. Just when you thought the people behind this show couldn’t get any more bizarre with the plots…
Anyhoo — the Germans are back, too, and they not only confront Olivia about her alleged relationship with escaped weirdo prisoner David Robert Jones, now residing stateside, but they also request her team’s help getting to the bottom of the previously mentioned orifice-closing deaths. Next up on Fringe is the February 3rd episode “The Transformation.”
This time around, two members of Team Olivia go undercover to combat a mysterious virus after something goes down that’s eerily reminiscent of what started “it” all back on the series premiere.
Yet another international jet provides the setting for yet another spooky occurrence that results in yet more weird remains found at the site of a plane crash. After several leads get the investigators nowhere, Peter and Olivia assume new identities to get to the bottom of the mystery.

If I’m not mistaken — and I don’t think I am — the next episode of Fringe, December 2nd’s curtly titled “Safe,” is the last new episode we fans will be getting from FOX until the end of January next year.
Bummer! So, enjoy the latest paranormal adventure while you can, although repeats will air occasionally during the lull.
The central perplexing plotline this time around involves a string of bank robberies, hence the title, which also refers to the additional meaning of being out of harm’s way.

Next on Fox’s Fringe — which is coming along quite nicely, although it’s nowhere near as good or intriguing as The X-Files — is tonight’s new episode “The Dreamscape.” Note that it starts at the special time of 9:08pm EST and ends at the awkward time of 10:07pm.
After a Massive Dynamic employee takes a flying leap out of a window because he believes butterflies are on the attack, Olivia decides it’s time for another trip to that tank, and you know which one I’m talking about if you watch the show.

“The Equation,” the November 18 episode of Fox’s Fringe, spotlight’s the show’s most entertaining character by far: John Noble’s Walter Bishop, of course.
When a kidnapper’s latest victim is discovered to be a young music prodigy, a clue from the abduction — flashing lights — leads Walter to investigate its relationship to a fellow patient he knew at St. Claire’s Hospital.

Fox is airing a repeat of Fringe (“The Same Old Story”) this Tuesday, October 28, and the following Tuesday is the all-important Election Day here in the United States. That means the next fresh installment for Team Olivia is November 11th’s “In Which We Meet Mr. Jones.”

Episode: Power HungryOriginal Air Date: October 14, 2008
The main plot of the “Power Hungry” episode of Fringe concerns a dorky guy with the power to control electricity. As fantastic as that sounds, the episode belongs to FBI Agent Olivia Dunham, or more precisely, her presumed-dead former partner and lover John Scott. I cannot tell you how happy that makes me since we’re talking major, major Mark Valley fan here; I was struck with grief when his character died in the pilot, and nothing thrills me more than having him back, hallucination or not.

The October 21st Fringe is called “The Cure,” so it’s no surprise the episode is all about a deadly disease.
More specifically, a missing woman shows up in Massachusetts, which would normally be good news. But, in this case, everyone the woman encounters ends up dying … painfully. Team Olivia investigates and unearths more weirdness for the Pattern archives involving radiation and illegal human drug trials.
And, for fans yearning to know more about the show’s lead character — FBI Agent Dunham, of course — there’s supposed to be a surprising revelation about her past, too.

Team Olivia takes on an electrifying case during next week’s October 14 episode of Fringe called “Power Hungry.”
First, the investigators get wind of a man who has the power to command electricity, which leads to the inevitable “dangerous and deadly occurrences.” Then, when Olivia isn’t busy with that weirdness, she encounters a blast from her past, which, according to production stills, is her one and only former partner, supposedly dead John Scott.
Yay! Mark Valley’s the man — have you seen Keen Eddie? — and I’m glad to have him back.

Team Olivia heads to New York on the September 30 episode of Fringe called “The Arrival,” and I hope wherever they shot the footage looks more authentic than the fake Boston backdrops that disconcert me so much.
The Big Apple trip happens after a “strange cylinder” is found in prefect condition, although it was in the midst of a recent explosion at a construction site. This discovery is followed by yet more odd connections that lead to the fun development of Peter hitting the field with the FBI. The more comic relief, the better.
