Grey’s Anatomy fans are in for a big treat tonight, May 14 — a two-hour season finale featuring the episodes “Here’s to the Future” and “Now or Never” airing back to back. Tomorrow night, May 7th, at 9pm ET, ABC will air an extremely special event for Grey’s Anatomy. It’s the show’s milestone 100th episode called “What a Difference a Day Makes,” which doubles as the long-awaited wedding extravaganza for Meredith and Derek.
As Meredith, Derek, and all of their friends prepare for the big wedding, Seattle Grace’s emergency room admits a group of college students who were injured in a car crash en route to their graduation ceremony. Meanwhile, Izzie fears the worst when she begins experiencing familiar symptoms.

We’re counting down to the two-hour, double-episode Grey’s Anatomy season finale on May 14th, which premieres in a little over two short weeks. For now, however, I have to ask just how many TV children does Emmy-nominated NYPD Blue alumna Sharon Lawrence have?
I loved her as a mom on both Privileged and Ghost Whisperer earlier this year, and she turns up next on tonight’s new April 30th Grey’s episode “No Good at Saying Sorry (One More Chance)” as cancer-stricken Izzie’s mother Robbie. Superb casting.

It’s been almost a month since the last new episode, but Grey’s Anatomy returns on Thursday, April 23, with the fresh installment “Sweet Surrender.”
Izzie focuses on planning Derek and Meredith’s wedding while undergoing aggressive cancer treatment, Callie’s disapproving father gets the pleasure of meeting his daughter’s girlfriend Arizona, George trumps Alex when he does good during a trauma emergency but Alex does nothing at all, and Owen decides it’s time for some help with his post-traumatic stress symptoms.

Poor Derek and Seattle Grace. On the last episode, “I Will Follow You into the Dark,” he made a depressing career decision, and now Meredith must somehow persuade him to reverse it on the March 19 Grey’s Anatomy episode “Stand By Me.”
Also, Izzie continues hiding her medical condition from everyone, Cristina finally receives the opportunity to perform her first solo surgery, and the entire hospital population gets excited about Mark’s upcoming face transplant surgery. I just hope they don’t show the last in all its graphic and mesmerizing glory.
