This week has been overflowing with finales, but we’re down to just two now: Sunday’s two-hour Desperate Housewives event and tonight’s (May 15) Ghost Whisperer fourth-season closer called “The Book of Changes.” And, don’t worry, Team Melinda fans. Although the paranormal chiller hasn’t been officially renewed for Season Five yet, only the end of the world or the complete and shocking collapse of CBS could prevent it from happening.

Finally, after three weeks of nothing, a fresh episode of the Jennifer Love Hewitt drama Ghost Whisperer airs tonight at 8pm ET.
Called “Thrilled to Death,” I guess the big news — at least to a lotta other folks — is that it features guest star Hilary Duff.
The entertainer plays a woman named Morgan Jefferies, who may have something to do with a man dying and a ghost being unable to cross over. Ghost Whisperer’s CBS website goes one step further and calls Duff’s character a black widow. Nasty stuff.

Poor Melinda. The next fresh episode of Ghost Whisperer, tonight’s “Delusions of Grandview,” will not find things going well for the spirit world medium, at least when it comes to her dead hubby Jim — aka Sam — after she reveals some big news to him.
Check out the promo after the jump and don’t forget to tune in at 8pm EST on CBS. As the season winds down, it really is beginning to get more and more difficult to predict how the whole Dead Jim and Melinda “finding love again” storyline will end.

Following a week off, there’s a new episode of Ghost Whisperer coming up tonight called “Ghost Busted.”
And, this one is a biggie because Melinda finally does something I think she should have done ages ago: She reveals to Dead Jim/Sam that she has a supernatural gift. However, the honesty doesn’t result in the reaction she expected, which pretty much tells us nothing.
Melinda has been so emotional and apprehensive about coming clean ever since Dead Jim jumped into Sam’s dead body, she acts one way in one scene and then an entirely different way in the next scene. So, …read more

There’s no new episode of Ghost Whisperer tonight — CBS will air an encore of the current fourth season’s premiere “Firestarter” instead — but next Friday the fresh installment “Ghost Busted” debuts. And, this is the big one, folks, where Melinda finally lets Dead Jim/Sam know about her unique gift. Will he be thrilled, indifferent, disgusted, curious, freaked out? Nobody’s saying just yet, but his reaction will surprise Melinda.

On tonight’s new Ghost Whisperer episode “Greek Tragedy,” all those lies Melinda has been telling Dead Jim start to catch up with her.
It was bound to happen eventually, and he finally begins to realize she’s not being entirely truthful — or even remotely truthful, for that matter — to him. As a result, Dead Jim starts having a few qualms about their relationship, something that should have happened three or four episodes ago, if you ask me.

The next new episode of Ghost Whisperer, tonight’s “Body of Water,” is definitely must-see material for fans.
Not only will viewers finally meet Nikki Peck, the woman whom Sam, now Dead Jim, was prepared to propose to before he croaked, but series star Jennifer Love Hewitt also directs the episode.
No matter how you feel about the show’s current direction (I, for one, am still not onboard with it), there’s no doubt that tonight’s installment is a significant episode in the fourth season.

After what seems like endless weeks of repeats, CBS will finally resume airing new episodes of Ghost Whisperer tonight, starting with “Life On the Line” at 8pm EST.
While Melinda does her usual thing as she helps a family crippled by a freak tragedy, Delia gets personally schooled in the weird ways of ghosts when she experiences her very first haunting. Aaah, one’s first ghost — now that’s the stuff of lifelong memories!

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ghost Whisperer don’t return with fresh New Year’s episodes until January 9th’s “Life on the Line,” which features guest star Sharon Lawrence of NYPD Blue fame. But, you can catch a repeat of the recommended Season Three installment “Weight of What Was” in the show’s usual 8pm EST time slot tonight.
For those who don’t remember or haven’t seen it yet, “Weight” is the one where Gabriel (Ignacio Serricchio) returns, leading Melinda to discover — to her great and justified horror — that her hometown Grandview is situated on top of a spirit-filled underworld.

After a week off, Ghost Whisperer fans finally get a new episode of the series this Friday, ominously called “Ball and Chain.” Almost as good as the fact that more Melinda and Dead Jim developments are on the way is the presence of guest star Rena Sofer as Tammy/Sarah.
Some might remember talented Sofer from a number of supporting roles on prominent TV shows, including her most recent recurring parts as Nathan Petrelli’s wheelchair-bound wife Heidi on Heroes and Jack Bauer’s girlfriend turned sister-in-law Marilyn on 24. And those are just the tip of the iceberg.
