Amber Tamblyn and ‘The Unusuals’ Get a Premiere Date

Yay! Just this week, ABC released the premiere date for one of the new shows I’m most looking forward to next year: Joan of Arcadia and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum Amber Tamblyn’s twisted cop dramedy The Unusuals.
Look out for Amber and her fabulous co-stars Jeremy Renner, Harold Perrineau, Josh Close, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Kai Lennox, Terry Kinney, and Adam Goldberg to make their series debut on Wednesday, April 8, at 10pm EST.

Amber Tamblyn and Alyssa Milano Shows Picked Up

ABC recently announced the network is turning five potential shows into full-fledged series. We Grrl TV lovers are in luck because two of those new pickups star fan favorites Amber Tamblyn, of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Joan of Arcadia popularity, and Alyssa Milano, of Charmed and Who’s the Boss? fame.
Amber’s series is an hourlong crime-procedural dramedy called The Unusuals that sounds like it’s in the funny vein of USA Network’s Monk, for instance. Alyssa’s show, on the other hand, is a half-hour sitcom called Single with Parents. It co-stars veteran actor Beau Bridges, who also …read more

‘Sisterhood’ Cast Photos on ‘Good Morning America’ Set

When Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, and Blake Lively, the four stars of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, visited Good Morning America on August 4, photographers took tons of photos (watch the interview).
Some of the snaps follow the jump, although I have no idea why Bledel is in so few of them; she’s wearing the purple top in the first two. Former Joan of Arcadia and General Hospital star Amber Tamblyn paid a visit to ABC’s news program Good Morning America on August 4 to help promote her new movie, the sequel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
Follow the jump to get a look at the actress outside of the show’s Times Square studio in New York City this morning. If you’re a fan and you’ve been wondering when Tamblyn will return to the small screen, that might happen sooner rather than later if her new series, the cop dramedy The Unusuals, gets picked up for a full season.

‘Joan of Arcadia’ Returning to TV

Amber Tamblyn, Mary Steenburgen, Joe Mantegna, Jason Ritter, and Michael Welch fans take note. I’ve discovered that basic cable’s Sci Fi Channel will begin syndicating their intriguing dramedy Joan of Arcadia on Friday nights at 8pm EST, starting with the pilot episode on July 11.
Watching syndicated series on Sci Fi Channel is a bit tricky, however, because the network’s programmers like to play fast and loose with shows that don’t quickly earn substantial ratings.
