Swingtown: ‘Double Exposure’ Spoilers (6-19-08)
If the next epiosde of CBS’ Swingtown gets any more boring than the first two, I’m going to have to reconsider these reviews I’ve been writing each week. Having said that, the outlook isn’t promising when the description for the June 19th installment, “Double Exposure,” is taken into consideration.
Apparently, the majority of the plot will be devoted to Susan’s efforts to patch up things with her weirdly jealous and meanspirited best friend Janet. I can’t figure out exactly why anybody would want a close friend with such a sour disposition.
So, it’s no surprise that Trina — who, like me, seems tickled by Janet’s unrelenting negativity — finds a way to come in between the two former neighbors yet again. If showrunners would substantially up the catty factor in this “love” triangle, maybe the show could actually become interesting for once. I won’t hold my breath, though.
Swingtown airs Thursdays on CBS at 10pm EST.
