Sirens Sound the Call on ‘Fear Itself’ Premiere

NBC has a new series premiering tonight at 10pm EST, a horror and suspense anthology called Fear Itself.
Each installment of the thirteen-episode rookie season will feature a new hourlong story brought to us eager viewers by numerous in-demand directors, writers, and actors. And the network isn’t joking either since it can boast a list of talent that includes directors like Darren Bousman (Saw II, III, and IV), John Landis (An American Werewolf in London), and Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason, Bride of Chucky).
First up is show creator and writer Mick Garris‘ (Riding the Bullet, Amazing Stories) “The Sacrifice,” which is directed by Breck Eisner (the upcoming movie Creature from the Black Lagoon). I mention the episode here not just because I plan to watch, but also because the plot is driven by a group of three women.
Four criminals manage to get stranded in a wintry location, forcing them to seek shelter in a nearby fort that houses three beautiful sisters and even more deadly secrets. The episode stars Reamonn Joshee, Jeffrey Pierce, Jesse Plemons, and Stephen Martines in the male roles, alongside Rachel Miner, Michelle Molineux, and Mircea Monroe as the female siblings.
If you’re sitting on the fence about whether to give this show a shot, perhaps the interview clip for “The Sacrifice” following the jump can help tip the scale.
