Shannen Doherty Possibly Moving Back to 90210

Hate her or love her, I, for one, am definitely psyched about the possibility that notorious drama queen Shannen Doherty might be resuming residence in her most well-known zip code, 90210.

According to EW newbie Michael Ausiello, a recent TV Guide import, “multiple sources” have claimed that the actress is “engaged in formal talks” with The CW to resuscitate her Beverly Hills, 90210 character Brenda Walsh. Take that, Lori Loughlin!

There only appear to be two issues in the way: Doherty’s desire to know her storyline ahead of time and her desire for more money than showrunners are currently offering. With the U.S. economy the way it is now, not to mention the instant magnetic effect her presence would have on haters and lovers alike, I can’t say I fault Doherty for the second issue.

If you kept up with the gossip back when she originally played the role, you know all about the alleged hard times on and off the set of Beverly Hills, 90210, especially Doherty’s reported difficulty getting along with her fellow cast members.

That’s one piece of historic garbage that could conceivably prevent Doherty from returning since some of her former colleagues might not be too willing to have a second go-round with her on a TV show, regardless of how forgiving they sound in the press.

I just hope everyone can be big boys and girls now and get over the past because there’s no doubt that having Doherty onboard would make 90210 that much bigger a draw for viewers.
