No ‘90210’ for Tori Spelling Anymore
Wow! What a major blow this is for viewers who were getting really psyched to see the reunion of as many original Beverly Hills, 90210 cast members as possible on the CW spinoff of the series 90210.
It seems that Tori Spelling will not be joining the show at all as of now because of pay discrepancies. Apparently, Tori would receive far less money per episode than her Beverly Hills, 90210 colleagues Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth. How much less?
Well, the other two actresses are reportedly being paid $35,000–$50,000 per episode, while Tori was allegedly offered only $10,000–$20,000 per episode. Yeah — if I was the kind of person who could command thousands of dollars in pay, I’d be on the “I don’t think so!” side of the fence, too, when it comes to those numbers.
According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, the website that broke the news, Tori demanded equal pay and The CW refused, causing Tori to back out of her initial agreement to appear on the show. I don’t blame her one bit if all of this is true, so hopefully someone at the network will see the light and make the situation right. This really is a no-brainer.
