Mariska Hargitay and Julie Bowen on ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Set

Mariska Hargitay/Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Now that the fall season is quickly approaching, television stars are out in force all over places like New York and California to film episodes that will air soon.

Photographers snapped the photos following the jump of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay (Detective Olivia Benson) shooting on location in New York City’s Meatpacking District. Lucky us, we also get to see guest star Julie Bowen, currently of Showtime’s Weeds, appearing in a couple of shots alongside Mariska.

Geesh! Both women are obviously gorgeous, but 44-year-old Mariska looks absolutely stunning, doesn’t she? I love the last snap, too — Mariska, Julie, and Mariska’s co-star Christopher Meloni (Detective Elliot Stabler) look thrilled to call it a wrap. I’ve no doubt the filming was a job well done.

Incidentally, Bowen plays the wife of Luke Perry’s (Beverly Hills, 90210) character, both foster parents to an abused child whose biological mother is played by Roseanne alumna Sara Gilbert. The star-studded episode will serve as the hit crime drama’s tenth-season premiere when it airs on Tuesday, September 23, at 10pm EST.
