‘Lipstick Jungle’ Adds Two More
Following recent news of Mary Tyler Moore’s casting, E! TV-gossip queen Kristin Dos Santos now reports that the NBC dramedy Lipstick Jungle is adding two more cast members for the show’s sophomore season, as well: Oscar-nominated Brooklyn native Rosie Perez and music chart-topper Carlos Ponce, both of whom will appear in multi-episode story arcs.
According to Kristin, who has it according to Lipstick showrunner Oliver Goldstick, Perez will play the new publicist for Lindsay Price’s Victory Ford, a character named Dalia inspired by none other than Ugly Betty executive producer Salma Hayek and her “can-do approach to everything.”
Ponce, on the other hand, has signed on for a role that Mario Lopez was also reportedly pursuing, Rodrigo, a contractor who could end up hooked up with Victory. Hmmm, but Andrew McCarthy’s gazillionaire Joe Bennett is still on the scene, too, which means some fictional fashion designers get all the action.
