Jordana Spiro of ‘My Boys’ Charms Conan O’Brien
…with unbelievable tales recounting her youth of debauchery in seedy Times Square and beyond!
Just kidding … sort of.
Actress Jordana Spiro, the 31-year-old star of the hit TBS sitcom My Boys, grew up in New York’s Manhattan. As a result, she remembers, as do I, the good old days when Times Square was the seedy, grimy, predatory, dangerous Times Square of legend — you know, back when you could still buy XXX-rated porn in dark, musty, dilapidated stores and see real-live hookers as you navigated the sidewalks. I challenge you to find either of those in sterile Times Square now.
In any case, when Spiro stopped by Conan O’Brien’s Late Night a couple of days ago, she mentioned her nostalgia for the notorious area, adding a couple of stories about her childhood bound to stun at least a few members of her current fan base. Of course, all the talk about spotting Three-Card Monte decoys and fake-crying to get her way while playing competitive chess won’t diminish the love she gets and deserves for her work on My Boys.
