Ghost Whisperer: The Making of ‘Ghost in the Machine’
Geeky Ghost Whisperer fans, get psyched. Not only is the October 17th episode of the series, “Ghost in the Machine,” made just for you, but CBS has also put together an informative five-minute video giving viewers a tour behind the scenes of the action.
During the episode, underused Ned finally gets some quality time in the spotlight when he introduces Melinda to his online gaming community and — what else? — she discovers there’s a little virtual haunting going on around the Internets. Take it from me: spooky stuff and computer technology — never a good match.
Of course, Melinda will also get an underdressed virtual version of herself — the twins come out at night! — and there will be lots of segueing between reality and electronic landscapes.
Is this a shameless attempt to be hip and/or appeal to a younger, “edgier” demographic, or is Ghost Whisperer just expanding the boundaries of the show’s storytelling?
Hmmm… Whichever it is, I’m cool with it, as long as the avatars don’t burst into tears before their pixels are popped — or however avatars go into the bright, white light — at the end of the episode.
Check out the behind-the-scenes video below.
Ghost Whisperer airs Fridays on CBS at 8pm EST.
