Weeds: Fourth-Season Finale Previews (9-15-08)

Weeds fans have a whopper of an episode coming up next Monday, September 15, with a whopper of a title. It’s the show’s fourth-season finale, which goes by the lengthy name "If You Work for a Living, Why Do You Kill Yourself Working?" (Is that a rhetorical question or what?) Fortunately, the series has already been renewed for not just one, but two additional seasons.

On the last installment of the current run, the drama increases as Nancy is called in by the DEA for a little interrogation time before she confronts Esteban. Elsewhere, her son Silas finally comes face to face with Lisa’s former husband, while Celia heads to Mexico to repair her relationship with her daughter Quinn and Doug finds new inspiration in his life.

The two sneak peeks after the jump show Silas and Shane sharing their feelings about their mother with Andy in "Or Worse" and Nancy and Esteban planning to meet in "Pancakes for Breakfast." Mark your calendars and make sure not to miss the last episode of Weeds this summer.

Weeds: ‘Till We Meet Again’ Recap

On the latest episode of Weeds, Monday’s "Till We Meet Again," Nancy contacted the DEA out of frustration, an improved Celia decided to make amends to her family, Doug learned about Andy and Maria’s new relationship, and Shane tried to impress his two new girlfriends with his ease acquiring drugs.

Weeds: ‘Till We Meet Again’ Previews (9-8-08)

There’s only two more episodes left in the fourth season of Weeds, and Monday’s “Till We Meet Again” is the next to last one. It does a fine job building up some tension leading into next week’s finale, which has the long title “If You Work for a Living, Why Do You Kill Yourself Working?” Good question, too.

On “Till We Meet Again,” everything is rosy for Celia, who learns to love rehab before becoming determined to set things right with her family. Even Shane has a great time of it as he wows his women with his knack for getting drugs. He just better hope his mother doesn’t find out (and you know she is).

Speaking of which, things aren’t so great for Nancy or Doug. In the first case, Nancy’s frustration causes her to have a chat with the DEA, while Doug must deal with the discovery that Andy and Maria have been going at it.

Two sneak peeks follow the jump as usual. The first shows Nancy after she’s talked to the DEA, and the second, perfectly titled “Wanna Get High,” features Shane up to no good.

Weeds: ‘Head Cheese’ Recap

Jill at Showtime Fan has a recap posted for the August 25th episode of Weeds called “Head Cheese.”

Pay the blog a visit for the lowdown on what happened to everyone’s favorite widowed drug dealer, especially as relates to that scene where Nancy gives her youngest son Shane’s butt a few deserving whacks.

There’s also plenty more about her eldest son Silas’ rapidly expanding business, not to mention Doug and Maria’s unfortunate troubles and Celia’s lack of success in rehab.

Weeds: ‘Head Cheese’ Previews (8-25-08)

Hmmm… “Head Cheese“? What an interesting title, and that’s exactly what’s coming up on Weeds on August 25. Here’s the lowdown:

Nancy has a trip to Ayuasca on her mind as she continues to experience problems with Guillermo and her son Shane’s bad, bad, bad behavior (remember last week’s ménage à trois?). Meanwhile, her older son Silas seeks help to deal with the growing popularity of his and Lisa’s so-called “sandwich” shop.

Elsewhere, Celia searches for a new facility to curb her addiction when things don’t go well with her rehab partner Barry, and Doug and Maria rely on Andy when their relationship hits the skids.

The first sneak peek after the jump, “Head Cheese Sandwich,” goes a long way towards explaining the episode’s unusual title. It’s followed by the clip “Last Night,” which features Nancy grilling Shane and his two “lovers” about their recent hookup.

Watch the girls flee for their lives in the last preview after Nancy asks what happened the night before. And you’ve gotta love the end when she takes a rolled up newspaper to Shane’s butt. Serves him right for acting so bratty.

Weeds: ‘The Love Circle Overlap’ Recap

The latest episode of Weeds, “The Love Circle Overlap,” featured yet more intense but still funny and sometimes painful adventures for the show’s characters.

Nancy discovered another piece of information about the tunnel to Mexico at the mall, Doug and Maria reunited (although maybe not as completely as they wanted), Shane met two ready and willing girls, and, best of all — at least to me — Celia suffered through a family intervention to curb her addiction.

Weeds: ‘The Love Circle Overlap’ Previews (8-18-08)

I’ll never understand how Weeds showrunners manage to pack so much into one tiny half-hour episode, but they do. Expect more wall-to-wall plot action on August 18th’s “The Love Circle Overlap.”

First and foremost, Nancy will learn something new about the tunnel to Mexico she recently discovered at the maternity store, and it has to do with more than just drugs. Also, Doug might finally have the chance to reunite with Maria, Shane prepares for a threesome (yes, you’ve got the right idea in mind), and Celia becomes the target of an intervention.

In the two sneak peeks after the jump, see Celia get mad with her family in Intervention and Shane get up to no good three times over in Pierced Strangers. I’ve watched the first clip with Celia/Elizabeth Perkins about five times — it’s a riot.

Weeds: ‘Little Boats’ Recap

Last Monday’s episode of Weeds, “Little Boats,” continued the druggy adventures of Nancy, Esteban, and Celia, while Andy and Doug focused on their human-trafficking business and brothers Silas and Shane devoted most of their energy to hooking up.

Next on Weeds is the August 11 episode “Little Boats.”

Although Nancy is busy trying to keep her relationship with Esteban going, she’ll hit a snag in the road when she finds out about Silas’ relationship with cheese shop owner Lisa, as well as Shane’s emerging daydreams.

Andy and Doug will also meet El Coyote when they’re in New Mexico looking for the latest woman to capture Doug’s attention, and Celia will have some issues of her own with her new obsession.

Two sneak peeks follow the jump, as usual. In the first one, El Andy, Andy does a lot of talking in a bar. And in the second one, Sooner Than You Think, Nancy has a chat with Silas and Lisa at the cheese shop.
