‘The Ex List’ Yanked from CBS Lineup

‘The Ex List’ Yanked from CBS Lineup

If you’re a fan of Elizabeth Reaser’s freshman CBS dramedy The Ex List, I have bad news for you. The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd reports that the network has pulled the series from the Friday-night schedule as of this week, October 31. That means the series has become the first hourlong show to be yanked this season.
It’s not hard to imagine why, either. While the show’s paranormal lead-in Ghost Whisperer and crime-procedural lead-out Numb3rs both consistently earn respectable, if not downright excellent, ratings and often win their time slots, The Ex List has never been able to …read more

‘The Ex List’ 1.02 Review: Work It, Baby!

Episode: Climb Every Mountain BikerOriginal Air Date: October 10, 2008
Sure, I was one of the many ardent Moonlight fans who cursed CBS up and down and all around when the network dared to cancel the series. Even so, this being the notoriously fickle TV business, I decided long ago not to pick on The Ex List just because it happens to air in Moonlight’s old time slot. Heck, I’m not even going to take joy in the fact that the newcomer isn’t pulling in a comparable number of viewers.
As far as I’m concerned after watching the second episode, …read more

‘The Ex List’ 1.01 Review: I Need a Man!

Original Air Date: October 3, 2008
Let’s just get it over with — the premiere episode of The Ex List is good and funny, and that’s coming from someone who’s not into relationship TV shows at all. My primary gripe is that I grew bored about halfway in, but at least there was enough humor to keep me from falling asleep (which has been known to happen when I’m watching TV, I might add).
After learning from what seems to be a genuine psychic that she has only one year to find the man she’s already dated who’s destined to be …read more

Television watchers eager to get a taste of CBS’ new Friday-night dramedy The Ex List are going to have to wait until October 3. The series will premiere at 9pm EST then, immediately after the fourth-season premiere of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s hit paranormal drama Ghost Whisperer, making for a pretty fine evening of Grrl-friendly TV.
In fact, my recorder’s going to be working overtime that night because it will also feature the return of Tia Mowry’s The Game on The CW and the premiere of Sci Fi Channel’s new Amanda Tapping fantasy drama Sanctuary, which will open with a two-hour …read more
