Well, duh!
People magazine has named Samantha Who? star and recent cancer survivor Christina Applegate the most beautiful person of 2009, according to TV Guide.
Other notable aesthetically pleasing people on the list include Halle Berry and the women of 90210 — which is just jumping on a bandwagon, of course — in the Top Five, Dancing with Stars breakout entertainer Julianne Hough at ninth, and new U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama at twelfth.

Christina Applegate Talks Breast Cancer with Oprah

Breast cancer survivor and Samantha Who? star Christina Applegate dropped by The Oprah Winfrey Show recently to discuss her highly publicized treatment, a double mastectomy to avoid chemotherapy, in response to learning she had the disease this summer.
Applegate’s discussion with the daytime talk-show host will air on Tuesday, September 30, to kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The same show will feature other breast cancer survivors, as well as a visit by Susan G. Komen Foundation and 5K Race for the Cure founder Nancy Brinker.

‘Samantha Who?’ Casts New Love Interest

When Samantha Who? returns for its second season on ABC, Christina Applegate’s lucky Samantha Newly will have a new potential love match. The equally lucky guy is James Tupper, who’s previous series Men in Trees just ended on ABC.
