Finally Some Good News for ‘Privileged’

Finally Some Good News for ‘Privileged’

Thank you, most magnificent TV Gods!
I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to hear something positive about the future of the dramedy Privileged, The CW’s best freshman show by far, and the news finally dropped on Sunday, April 19.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “the prospects for “Privileged” have improved, and the show is now considered for a possible midseason order.” Hip, hip hooray! Now we’re talking!
True, Privileged’s fellow newbie 90210 gets all the promotional push and fan attention. But, Privileged is such a superior, better written, and better acted show, it leaves that disappointment in the …read more

Thank You! Terminator, Dollhouse, Privileged Rock the DVR Ratings

Thank You! Terminator, Dollhouse, Privileged Rock the DVR Ratings

I’d like to extend a very appreciative “Thank you!” to all the folks out there who have been watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse each Friday, just not live during the initial broadcast.
The results for DVR viewership in the week after the shows made their Friday debut together on February 13, also called Live+7 DVR, are in, and they indicate that — surprise, surprise — Terminator earned the largest percentage ratings gain among adults for the entire week. As a wonderful result, the show has added a substantial increase of 36 percent more viewers to its previously reported …read more

Privileged: ‘All About A Brand New You!’ Finale Preview

Privileged: ‘All About A Brand New You!’ Finale Preview

I so hope The CW renews the newbie Privileged for a second season since I’m enjoying it more and more each week. Yet, with a shorter first season of just 18 episodes — which we fans should be very, very thankful for — it’s now time to say goodbye to Season One during tomorrow night’s (February 23) finale “All About A Brand New You!”
And, you betcha — the final exclamation point is officially part of the title, which rightly leads me to expect huge, exclamatory-worthy developments. Considering guest star Kathy Griffin (Bravo’s My Life on the D-List), who …read more

‘90210’ and ‘Privileged’ Upcoming Schedule Changes

‘90210’ and ‘Privileged’ Upcoming Schedule Changes

How good was that fight between Charlie and Will on Privileged last night, huh? I believe that was the last episode for Michael Cassidy, who plays Charlie, as a series regular. And, there are other changes in store for the show, as well.
Yesterday, The CW announced that it’s shuffling the network’s schedule, and hence the airdates of 90210 and Privileged, to make room for the forthcoming seasons of Reaper and America’s Next Top Model. The details follow, so alter your TV-viewing calendar accordingly.

Beginning Tuesday, March 3, freshman drama 90210 moves to a new 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET timeslot …read more

It’s a Fight on ‘Privileged’ Tonight!

It’s a Fight on ‘Privileged’ Tonight!

The CW teases that Will and Charlie will come to physical blows on tonight’s fresh episode of Privileged called “All About Confessions.” Now, that’s something to look forward to, even if I can’t begin to guess who’s gonna win.
Plus, new 90210, Fringe, and Law & Order: SVU.

Privileged: ‘All About the Big Picture’ Spoilers and Photos

Privileged: ‘All About the Big Picture’ Spoilers and Photos

There is a lot going on on the January 20 episode of Privileged called “All About the Big Picture,” and that’s aside from the cameo appearance of Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz (colorful photo of him with Ashley Newbrough’s Sage after the jump).
If you don’t want to be spoiled about plot developments related to stuff that happens on the January 13 episode “All About Tough Love” (there are many), don’t read any further.
Still there? Okay. Follow the jump for details and a few preview photos.

Privileged: ‘All About Tough Love’ Preview

I’m starting to feel bad for Privileged’s poor Megan, although she’s my least favorite character on the show. Despite finally knocking boots with Will on the last episode, things went from bad to worse when, after a big blowout with her estranged mother Shelby (Sharon Lawrence), she learned her no-less estranged sister Lily is in the slammer.
Well, on the next episode, January 13th’s “All About Tough Love,” Megan actually rises to the occasion and tries to get her younger sibling out of jail, even if the reason she’s there involves a backpack full of drugs, a disappearing new husband, …read more

90210, Privileged, and SVU Are Back!

90210, Privileged, and SVU Are Back!

The CW promised big plot developments when the last fresh episode of 90210 aired last year. So, when the show returns tonight at 8pm EST with “Hello, Goodbye, Amen,” the network had better deliver.
Also in store for Grrl TV fans are new installments of The CW’s underrated Privileged and NBC’s crime procedural behemoth Law & Order: SVU.

Well, we already know something is extremely off with odd new boy on the block Sean (Josh Henderson of Desperate Housewives), whom we last saw making a questionable telephone call that implied he’s up to all kinds of no-good. Tonight, …read more

Unbelievable! My Fave ‘Privileged’ Actor Is Leaving

Unbelievable! My Fave ‘Privileged’ Actor Is Leaving

Entertainment Weekly just delivered the awful news: Privileged actor Michael Cassidy — better known as Megan Smith’s best friend/unrequited swooner Charlie Hogan — is leaving the series for both “creative and budgetary” reasons.
In other words, fans can assume there aren’t enough budgetary resources (aka money) left to keep him around, thus showrunners have made the creative decision to write his character out … for now.
According to the Ausiello Files, Cassidy’s last episode this season will be the show’s fifteenth, currently scheduled to air on January 20. The series returns from hiatus two weeks before, on January 6, and its …read more
