Lynette gets mad at Tom yet again after she learns what his latest next best thing is. Trust me or keep reading — it’s really not that big a deal.

Orson threatens to blackmail Bree, which is so not a good idea, dude — she’ll bite it off and then spit it out, if you know what I mean, only with class and a big smile on her face.

And Susan says a big “Yes” to Crazy Dave’s offer.

Then during the immediately following official finale “If It’s Only in Your Head”:

Gaby’s niece relocates to Wisteria Lane.

Lynette comes to grips with Tom’s decision to return to school (told ya it wasn’t a big deal).

Bree has trouble understanding Orson’s behavior (what else is new?).

And Crazy Dave endangers the lives of Susan and MJ. Uh-oh.

First, this weekend, on May 10th, the network will present “Marry Me a Little.” Best of all for Gale Harold fans is the actor returns to play Jackson Braddock.

Every day is a masquerade on “Marry Me a Little” as:

Bree desperately — no word games intended — attempts to hide what she’s up to from Orson.

Susan and Jackson fake it for “the authorities.”

Tom shocks Lynette with his efforts to look younger.

Katherine remains dishonest with Mike out of fear of losing him.

And Crazy Dave gets anxious when he realizes there’s somebody out there who has witnessed his bizarre, criminal behavior. Good!

A sneak peek at the episode called Ransack is after the jump, and it features Bree and Susan’s ex-hubby Karl staging a fake robbery at the Hodge home.

Karl — one of my favorite Wisteria Lane men — is played by actor Richard Burgi, of course, and he’s currently doing some nice work starring in the CBS murder mystery Harper’s Island as a much different (and richer), more brutal kind of person. Consider checking that show out, too, if you’re not watching already and thrillers are your style.

The actor returns to the ABC dramedy this Sunday, May 3, as Susan’s friend Jackson Braddock. This is his first appearance on the show since the near-fatal motorcycle accident that sidelined him — and landed him in intensive care — on October 14, 2008.

The episode is appropriately titled “Bargaining,” during which:

Jackson suddenly makes an appearance in Susan’s life again, complete with an intriguing suggestion.

Bree does whatever it takes to retain the best lawyer possible.

Gaby makes a questionable deal with her daughter Juanita.

Lynette and Tom come to an agreement about their sex life.

Katherine is dishonest with Mike, but only because she loves him.

And a surprise visit motivates weird Dave to negotiate a situation.

For viewers who like to keep it real, there are also new seasons coming up of America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Supernanny, and Wife Swap.

Congrats to all of the lucky series. We’ll be hearing more about the fate of newcomers like Castle and The Unusuals, two shows I’m enjoying very much, as well as old-timers like Samantha Who? next month, during the May upfront season, or possibly before then.

In any case, it’s no surprise that five of the early ABC pickups went to shows of particular interest to Grrl TV readers. We just got it like that.

Among the many memories her former fellow Wisteria Lane housewives will share during “Look Into Their Eyes and You See What They Know” are Edie’s first time meeting Susan, her adventures hanging out in the night hours, her kindness regarding Orson, and her notorious competitiveness.

Get in the mood a little early for the sure-to-be-bittersweet episode with the three sneak peeks and promo following the jump. Of all the things that could happen on the series, I never predicted bidding snarky Edie an early adieu would be one of them. *sigh* She will be much missed.

For those unfamiliar with the ultra talented entertainer, she’s an Emmy and two-time Tony winner who most recently starred as Lily Charles on the prematurely canceled ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies.

On the March 15th episode of Housewives she portrays Jessie, a teacher at Susan’s new job. Susan tries to impress her and instead gives her the wrong impression. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Should still be fun to see that potential disaster unfold all the same.

As for the other Wisteria Lane divas: Edie continues digging into her weird husband Dave’s background; Bree remains determined not to let Orson’s habit embarrass her; and Gaby persuades Carlos to hire Lynette, but not for reasons you’d expect.
