There are just three more episodes left in the current fifth season of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, and two of them make up the two-hour May 17th season-finale event.

Good news, Desperate Housewives devotees who are also Gale Harold fans.
The actor returns to the ABC dramedy this Sunday, May 3, as Susan’s friend Jackson Braddock. This is his first appearance on the show since the near-fatal motorcycle accident that sidelined him — and landed him in intensive care — on October 14, 2008.
The episode is appropriately titled “Bargaining,” during which:
Jackson suddenly makes an appearance in Susan’s life again, complete with an intriguing suggestion.
Bree does whatever it takes to retain the best lawyer possible.

Tonight’s brand-new episode of Desperate Housewives is called “Rose’s Turn.”

On Thursday, April 23, ABC took the time to announce early 2009-2010 renewals for twelve series, six hourlong scripted shows and the other half non-scripted shows.
The first category includes Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Ugly Betty, and Lost.
For viewers who like to keep it real, there are also new seasons coming up of America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Supernanny, and Wife Swap.

Dear dead Edie gets a fitting sendoff on the Sunday, April 19, episode of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, so Nicollette Sheridan fans should mark those calendars now to attend the farewell party.

ABC is billing “A Spark. To Pierce the Dark.,” the distinctively titled March 22 episode of Desperate Housewives, as the most shocking installment of the series yet, so I’m going to take the network at its word.

The big guest star on Sunday’s fresh episode of Desperate Housewives called “The Story of Lucy and Jessie” is the singular Swoosie Kurtz.
For those unfamiliar with the ultra talented entertainer, she’s an Emmy and two-time Tony winner who most recently starred as Lily Charles on the prematurely canceled ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies.
On the March 15th episode of Housewives she portrays Jessie, a teacher at Susan’s new job. Susan tries to impress her and instead gives her the wrong impression. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Should still be fun to see that potential disaster unfold all the same.

After two weeks off, there’s finally a fresh episode of ABC’s Desperate Housewives coming up tonight at 9pm EST called “Crime Doesn’t Pay,” and it looks like someone just might end up dying.
After Bree offers to help Tom get a new job, things don’t go quite as planned (what else is new?), and the bad outcome concerns Orson.

Back in January, I wrote about Fox’s Fringe and HBO’s True Blood scoring coveted spots in the lineup of television series making an appearance at the Paley Center for Media’s popular annual Paley Festival.
Now comes news that the female-led shows will be joined by their fellow Grrl TV programs 90210, Desperate Housewives, Dollhouse, and Swingtown during PaleyFest 09. And, yes — I just wrote Swingtown, so how about a big “Woot!”
