Bravo Gives ‘Swingtown’ a Reprieve

No, it’s not the same as Bravo renewing the CBS summer series Swingtown; but at least the basic-cable network has given the show a longer lease on life by acquiring the exclusive cable rights to its thirteen-episode single season to date.
Earlier today, Bravo announced its plans to add the 1970s drama to its stable of syndicated series that already includes the long-running staples Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The West Wing. As a result, fans of the show can look forward to reliving the tumultuous swinger experience some time in the near future, probably this fall.

‘Joan of Arcadia’ Returning to TV

Amber Tamblyn, Mary Steenburgen, Joe Mantegna, Jason Ritter, and Michael Welch fans take note. I’ve discovered that basic cable’s Sci Fi Channel will begin syndicating their intriguing dramedy Joan of Arcadia on Friday nights at 8pm EST, starting with the pilot episode on July 11.
Watching syndicated series on Sci Fi Channel is a bit tricky, however, because the network’s programmers like to play fast and loose with shows that don’t quickly earn substantial ratings.
