Witchy ‘Eastwick’ Business Coming to ABC

Lipstick Jungle’s Lindsay Price has a new show!
According to Variety (and all those other websites reporting left and right about which shows are a go for the 2009–2010 season), ABC has given a series order to Price’s pilot called Eastwick.
Based on the film and book of the nearly same name The Witches of Eastwick, the hourlong drama with a paranormal twist revolves around three women — one played by Price, of course — who come into some handy otherworldly powers after their men do them wrong.
I don’t have to say I’m looking forward to this, right?

As with most of the fall-schedule news leaked online recently, an official announcement is expected next week during the broadcast networks’ upfront presentations, which will probably include scheduling details, as well.
In the meantime, Happy Town is from the same creative …read more

Apparently, for once, the Fox Powers That Be listened to faithful viewers and others who realized that if there’s one show currently on television that deserves the benefit of the doubt when it comes to ratings, it’s Terminator. …read more

‘Fringe’ Follows ‘90210’ with Full Season Pickup

Hooray for Grrl TV!
Just nine days after The CW announced that its lightweight freshman drama 90210 has been picked up for a full season, Fox has done the same for the heavyweight J.J. Abrams paranormal/sci-fi thriller Fringe.
Both shows have had nine episodes (nine must be a magic number, huh?) added to their respective network’s original order of thirteen installments, bringing them to a traditional 22-episode full season.
I’m happy for the cast and crew of each show: 90210 gives me a little mindless fluff to enjoy for an hour each week, while Fringe, which requires substantially more brain power, tickles my …read more
