Did you know that Sex and the City star Kristin Davis is the face of an Israeli cosmetic line called AHAVA Dead Sea? Yeah — me neither, but she is. And in June, the actress traveled to the country to participate in a photo shoot and promotional campaign for the products.

Some snaps from the shoot follow the jump. I’ve no clue how long Kristin and the crew were out doing their thing, but it doesn’t look like the occasion was much fun. In fact, it looks like the day was pretty long and kind of tedious, so good thing they had the stunning Dead Sea as a backdrop.

Guest co-host Pat Sajak was back for another day, and he, Nixon, and Ripa also discussed the actress’ ability to lead a normal life in New York, her brush with breast cancer, the SATC cutting room floor, and her future awards plans now that she has both an Emmy and a Tony. Nixon answered every question she was asked, but it’s clear preventing breast cancer through early detection with mammograms is a very personal cause for her.

Star Kim Cattrall recently visited Banff, Alberta, Canada, to attend the Banff World Television Festival, where she received the NBC Universal Award of Distinction.

During the appearance, the actress discussed her career in-depth, revealing that she turned down the role of Samantha Jones on Sex and the City not just once, but twice, and by the time she came to her senses, another actress had already been cast. Luckily for us, someone must have really wanted her to play that role.

Cattrall delivered more good news, as well, namely that a sequel to the Sex and the City flick is a given, and she would be willing to return when it’s time. Meanwhile, fans can catch her in her new HBO comedy Sensitive Skin, an adaptation of a U.K. series that she will both produce and star in as a middle-aged New Yorker who begins to explore her sexuality. Yep — there goes the sex stuff again.

Despite generally mediocre reviews from professional critics and a clear decline in daily ticket sales on Saturday and Sunday as opposed to Friday, Sex and the City: The Movie raked in the nice sum of $55.74 million over the three-day weekend and $26.1 million on Friday alone.

As a result of those impressive numbers, not only did the flick boot Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull from its perch atop the list of U.S. theaters’ biggest film attractions, but it also easily became the best performer ever on opening day for an R-rated comedy.

If BBC America comes with your cable plan and you’re also a fan of Sex and the City, you are in luck tonight.

Series star Cynthia Nixon is scheduled to drop by the U.K. nighttime hit The Graham Norton Show in order to talk about the recently released movie, as well as issues like gay marriage in New York. The actress is all for the latter, of course.

Hudson has two more feature films coming out this year — The Secret Life of Bees with Dakota Fanning and Winged Creatures with fellow Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and Dakota Fanning again — as well as her self-titled debut album in September and the single “Spotlight” from the recently released Sex and the City movie soundtrack.

The occasion was Tuesday’s U.S. premiere of Sex and the City: The Movie in New York, the urban mecca that’s just as much a character in the Sex saga as the women themselves, not to mention their men and their fashion.

Guests were scheduled to arrive around 6pm at Radio City Music Hall, and they came out in droves. In addition to author Candace Bushnell, the woman behind the TV series and movie, there was star Chris Noth; actor Matthew Broderick, husband of star Sarah Jessica Parker; icon Bette Middler; actress-model Molly Sims; actresses Emmy Rossum and Ashley Olsen; veteran actresses Lorraine Bracco, Christine Ebersole, Edie Falco, and Joan Allen; actor Dean Winters; actress and TV-show hostess Caroline Rhea; comedienne-writer Amy Sedaris; and stage actress Idina Menzel, among other thespians.

From the broader celebrity world, there was also R&B superstar Mary J. Blige; R&B singer Michelle Williams; rapper Lil’ Kim; pop and R&B performer Fergie, who has a song on the movie’s soundtrack; fashion designer Nicole Miller; editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour; Project Runway winner Christian Siriano; entertainers Regis and Joy Philbin; celebrity couple Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld; newsperson Katie Couric; fashion-design partners Mark Badgley and James Mischka; society couple Donald and Melania Trump; and the list just goes on and on and on.

As I’ve said before, however, I don’t think that’s going to have much of an impact on its overall success given the great dedication and enthusiasm of Sex’s legion of fans.

Sex and the City: The Movie opens in wide release in the United States this Friday, May 30. For those who are counting, that’s just two short days away.
