Whew! TNT is right on time!
Kyra Sedgwick’s Emmy-nominated crime drama The Closer opens its fifth season in less than a month, on Monday, June 8, at 9pm ET. Thankfully, the network realizes how difficult it can be to recall all of those cases and plot twists, so it just uploaded a Season Four rapid recap yesterday.

“Departures, Arrivals,” the next to last episode of the second season of Army Wives, is a mixture of predictable and sweet. What’s missing is all of the angst-ridden buildup to the season closer, which is unusual for a dramatic series like this that often aims to pull heartstrings. But, perhaps that’s just how show runners plan to throw viewers with a gigantic, unexpected finale surprise. We’ll see.

I like Rita Rocks. True, I’ll like it even more when Lifetime stops airing it every single weeknight (once per week is more than enough). But, even with the overexposure, the one episode I’ve caught thus far is entertaining, engaging, and funny, and it seems a good fit for the family-sitcom crowd.
