Rosie O’Donnell Guest Stars on ‘Drop Dead Diva’

If you haven’t heard yet, Lifetime is rolling out a brand-new Sunday-night companion for its hit drama Army Wives next week on July 12. A lighter dramedy, the hourlong series is called Drop Dead Diva.
The show stars stage actress Brooke Elliott as attorney Jane Bingum, the heavier “reincarnated” version of a recently deceased vain model wannabe, as well as funny woman Margaret Cho as Jane’s loyal assistant.
The third episode of the newcomer is called “Do Over,” and when it premieres on July 26, viewers are in for a treat. Entertainer Rosie O’Donnell is featured as a special guest star on …read more

In Plain Sight: ‘A Stand-Up Triple’ Preview

Tonight’s (May 3) fresh episode of In Plain Sight called “A Stand-Up Triple” offers viewers double the pleasure because it has doubly delicious guest stars: ultra-talented television veterans Cynthia Watros (Lost, The Drew Carey Show, Titus) and Joshua Malina (Big Shots, The West Wing, Sports Night).

Grey’s Anatomy: ‘No Good at Saying Sorry’ Preview

We’re counting down to the two-hour, double-episode Grey’s Anatomy season finale on May 14th, which premieres in a little over two short weeks. For now, however, I have to ask just how many TV children does Emmy-nominated NYPD Blue alumna Sharon Lawrence have?
I loved her as a mom on both Privileged and Ghost Whisperer earlier this year, and she turns up next on tonight’s new April 30th Grey’s episode “No Good at Saying Sorry (One More Chance)” as cancer-stricken Izzie’s mother Robbie. Superb casting.
Also returning to reprise his role as Meredith and Lexie’s estranged father Thatcher Grey is …read more

‘Fringe’ Season Finale: Heeere’s Leonard!

As Fringe-philes know, Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy will be appearing on the paranormal crime thriller during its first-season finale “There’s More Than One of Everything.”
The episode premieres on May 12, just two short weeks from now, and Fox has recently released a spoiler photo of Nimoy’s appearance as pivotal character Dr. William Bell, former Harvard laboratory associate of John Noble’s fragile genius Walter Bishop and titan of shady science and technology company Massive Dynamic.
Follow the jump to take a look at the actor portraying the man who figures heavily in Fringe’s ongoing, mysterious mythology.
For good measure, a nice closeup …read more

Ghost Whisperer: ‘Thrilled to Death’ Preview

Ghost Whisperer: ‘Thrilled to Death’ Preview

Finally, after three weeks of nothing, a fresh episode of the Jennifer Love Hewitt drama Ghost Whisperer airs tonight at 8pm ET.
Called “Thrilled to Death,” I guess the big news — at least to a lotta other folks — is that it features guest star Hilary Duff.
The entertainer plays a woman named Morgan Jefferies, who may have something to do with a man dying and a ghost being unable to cross over. Ghost Whisperer’s CBS website goes one step further and calls Duff’s character a black widow. Nasty stuff.
Follow the jump to sneak a 30-second peek at the …read more

Emmy and Golden Globe-winning legendary funnywoman Carol Burnett is visiting NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit tonight during the latest fresh episode “Ballerina.” Also putting in a guest appearance is Matthew Lillard, who starred as Shaggy in the live-action adaptation of Scooby-Doo and who recently guest starred on CBS’ rookie sitcom Gary Unmarried.

Desperate Housewives: ‘The Story of Lucy and Jessie’ Preview

Desperate Housewives: ‘The Story of Lucy and Jessie’ Preview

The big guest star on Sunday’s fresh episode of Desperate Housewives called “The Story of Lucy and Jessie” is the singular Swoosie Kurtz.
For those unfamiliar with the ultra talented entertainer, she’s an Emmy and two-time Tony winner who most recently starred as Lily Charles on the prematurely canceled ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies.
On the March 15th episode of Housewives she portrays Jessie, a teacher at Susan’s new job. Susan tries to impress her and instead gives her the wrong impression. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Should still be fun to see that potential disaster unfold all the same.
As for …read more

Private Practice: ‘Finishing’ Preview

Private Practice: ‘Finishing’ Preview

Tonight is a big night for Swingtown cast members. Not only is Michael Rady appearing on the new episode of Grey’s Anatomy called “I Will Follow You into the Dark,” but his former costar Josh Hopkins is guest starring on the following fresh episode of Private Practice called “Finishing.”
I’m also psyched to see Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Amber Benson on the guest list since her Buffyverse character Tara Maclay has always been a favorite of mine. Sharon Leal (Boston Public) returns as Sonya, too, and another notable visitor is What About Brian’s Amanda Detmer as Morgan Gellman.
During the …read more

Grey’s Anatomy: ‘I Will Follow You into the Dark’ Preview

Following a three-week break from fresh episodes, Grey’s Anatomy presents “I Will Follow You into the Dark” tonight. Of note is the return of Eli Stone’s lovely Loretta Devine as Adele Webber, as well as the guest appearance of Swingtown and Melrose Place’s Michael Rady as Mike Shelley.
Derek decides to quit practicing medicine after a deposition reveals that more of his patients have died than survived. Meanwhile, Adele intervenes when Bailey and the Chief can’t stop arguing about her pediatrics fellowship, and Izzie’s interns discover something unsettling regarding a “Patient X,” unaware that the charts they’re reviewing are actually …read more

Ugly Betty: ‘A Mother of a Problem’ Preview

Tonight’s fresh episode of Ugly Betty is called “A Mother of a Problem,” and the mother in question is Matt’s mom Victoria Hartley, played by Emmy and Tony-winning guest star Christine Baranski (Mamma Mia!). Another notable visitor is Karate Kid Ralph Macchio, who reprises his role as Archie Rodriguez.
When Betty meets Matt’s mother Victoria, things don’t go quite the way she hoped they would. Elsewhere, Wilhelmina concocts a creative approach to solving a financial problem, Daniel tries to improve his relationship with Molly, and the Suarezes attempt to set Hilda up with cute Queens city councilman Archie. Isn’t …read more
