Army Wives: ‘Great Expectations’ Preview (9-7-08)
Well, the drought is over and it’s finally time for a fresh episode of Army Wives, this one airing tonight (September 7) and called “Great Expectations.”
I won’t spoil anything for those who still haven’t watched the previous episode “Mothers and Wives,” so I’ll just describe its ending by noting that Claudia Joy’s mother Charlotte (Marsha Mason) shows up for a surprise visit and drops a huge bomb on her daughter when they reason why is revealed.
The upcoming episode will continue that plotline when Claudia Joy’s father, played by Brotherhood’s Len Cariou, shows up unexpectedly, as well. Elsewhere, the wives throws a baby shower for Joan and Roland, while Denise and Frank begin marriage counseling and Trevor receives bad news about a soldier in Iraq he knows.
The sneak peek after the jump shows Roxy, Claudia Joy, Pamela, and Denise enjoying a little downtime at Betty’s Bar & Grill, until Pamela receives a shock that’s part of a troubling development.
Army Wives airs Sundays on Lifetime at 10pm EST.

We used to have a uk version of Army Wives which was really popular. I miss it and would love to watch, what I guess, must be an American series?
I am an ex RAF wive and currently writing a novel about military wives so have a deep interest in the subject:)

I’m not sure if there are any country restrictions on viewing, but Lifetime has full episodes of the entire series, Seasons One and Two, at the Army Wives website:
