‘90210’s Shenae Grimes at 2008 Teen Choice Awards
Actress Shenae Grimes, an 18-year-old Canadian from Toronto, plays an essential character on The CW’s forthcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff 90210. She’s basically inherited Shannen Doherty’s Brenda Walsh role of transplanted daughter and good girl, but renamed Annie Wilson.
Grimes attended the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, held at Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, California, on August 3, 2008, along with her 90210 co-star Jessica Stroup. Neither actress is nominated for any honors since their new show hasn’t even premiered yet.
A couple of photos of Grimes follow the jump, in addition to one of her with Stroup. Winners will be announced on Teen Choice 2008, hosted by Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus, when the special airs on Monday, August 4, from 8pm to 10pm EST.

Shenae is, or I guess was, one of the main characters on Degrassi: The Next Generation and it was nominated for “Best Summer Show” or something like that. Although she was probably just there to promote 90210. I wonder if she would go on stage if Degrassi actually won.

I haven’t found any nominations for Degrassi in any of the sources I checked, and none listed a category like “Best Summer Show” either.
If Grimes is up for an award and wins, though, I suspect she would go up on the stage with her former castmates. Who would want to miss a great moment in the spotlight like that?

Okay, just found it. The category was “Choice Summer TV Show.” But the problem was solved for Grimes because top honors went to ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
