Lifetime Schedules ‘Army Wives’ Third Season

Army Wives

Earlier today, Lifetime finally announced the premiere date for the third season of its hit military drama Army Wives, which is one of Grrl TV’s favorite shows.

All of us lucky fans can mark our calendars for Sunday, June 7, at 10pm ET. That’s just a little over a month away before the Tribe goodness begins anew!

And, just to fatten up this post since the best news was both short and sweet, I’m providing the network’s very own spoilers mentioned in its official press release.

I include the details after the jump because they might be a bit too much advance information for some. Stop reading now if you want to watch the third season with absolutely no knowledge of what to expect, besides what you figure out on your own.

Still with me? So, here are the Season Three goodies Lifetime is willing to reveal:

Season Three opens with the Army wives banding together to support Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) after her daughter Emmalin (Katelyn Pippy) disappears on the eve of the family’s imminent overseas transfer.

As Claudia Joy prepares to uproot her entire life for her husband’s (Brian McNamara) new job, she struggles to remain strong for all of those around her.

Roxy (Sally Pressman), fighting to hold onto her bar, is forced to reevaluate the business and the emotional toll it’s taking on her.

Pamela (Brigid Brannagh), whose husband is often away on assignment, must be both mother and father to her children.

New father Roland (Sterling K. Brown) wrestles with the news of Joan’s (Wendy Davis) deployment.

Denise (Catherine Bell) faces devastating consequences when her affair becomes the talk of the post.

And as all of these events unfold, Claudia Joy, Roxy, Pamela, Roland and Denise navigate their friendship while continuing to face the unique challenges of being Army wives.

That’s not a whole lot, but it still sounds great to me.

Hang out with Grrl TV over the summer as we follow the upcoming season of Army Wives, and Lifetime’s vibrant community dedicated to the series is an excellent Internet spot to visit often, as well.
