Grey’s Anatomy: Season Five Finale Preview
Grey’s Anatomy fans are in for a big treat tonight, May 14 — a two-hour season finale featuring the episodes “Here’s to the Future” and “Now or Never” airing back to back. And, since Meredith and Derek didn’t get hitched last week — as many, including myself, predicted would be the case — maybe that big wedding will finally happen.
Liza Weil (Gilmore Girls) guest stars on the first episode, during which Izzie begins to think about whether risky surgery is best for her after she spends time with a fellow cancer patient. Also, Mark wants to bump his relationship with Lexie up a notch, and Owen is forced to reconsider how he fits in at Seattle Grace, thanks to a patient.
During the second episode, Izzie has that surgery after all, George makes an announcement that shocks Bailey and the entire hospital (is this goodbye, T.R. Knight?), Bailey’s not too thrilled after learning she’ll be able to join the pediatric fellowship program she supposedly wanted, and yet another car-crash victim requires the special medical talents of the doctors.
Follow the jump for two sneak peeks at the episode, the first, Crossing the Line, showing Derek upset over Izzie’s decision regarding surgery and the second, Two Lives, showing newlywed Alex very, very, very upset over Izzie’s decision regarding surgery. A new episode of Ugly Betty called “In the Stars” precedes the Grey’s finale at 8pm ET.
Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays on ABC at 9pm EST.
