Thank You! Terminator, Dollhouse, Privileged Rock the DVR Ratings

I’d like to extend a very appreciative “Thank you!” to all the folks out there who have been watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse each Friday, just not live during the initial broadcast.
The results for DVR viewership in the week after the shows made their Friday debut together on February 13, also called Live+7 DVR, are in, and they indicate that — surprise, surprise — Terminator earned the largest percentage ratings gain among adults for the entire week. As a wonderful result, the show has added a substantial increase of 36 percent more viewers to its previously reported audience. Woot!
Dollhouse didn’t do so shabby, either. The Joss Whedon rookie posted a 30 percent increase the week following its premiere, while the two series’ main Grrl TV competition, Ghost Whisperer, gets a 21 percent gain, as well.
And, while I’m on a high about Fox’s Sci-Fi Friday reboot boost, let me add some good news for my fellow fans of The CW’s Privileged. The dramedy, which aired its excellent Season One finale on February 24 without a renewal in sight, saw a DVR-based increase of 29 percent.
That gives the series the fifth spot on the list of the Top Five Shows with the largest Live+7 DVR adult percentage increase, after Terminator at first, 90210 at second (33%), and Dolllhouse and Scrubs tied at third/fourth (30%). Let’s hope great news like this encourages The CW to do the right thing and award Privileged a deserved second go-round.
