The CW Renews 90210, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Top Model
But what about the fantastic Privileged?!
The title says it all. The CW has just announced its early renewal of most of the network’s current crop of shows: 90210, America’s Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Smallville, and Supernatural. Notably, 90210 is the only rookie in the bunch.
The CW’s Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff states in the official announcement that each of the picked-up series has “contributed to strengthening our schedule and our brand identity” as the network strives to become “a destination for young women.” I guess young dudes are left out in the cold if they don’t fancy superhero and paranormal fare or the other female-oriented programs.
Congratulations to all of the series nonetheless. I’ll feel much happier, however, when Ostroff & Company do the same for increasingly entertaining Privileged and the fun sophomore dramedy Reaper, too.
