‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ on DVD Tuesday
Like film actresses Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Rebecca Hall, and/or Patricia Clarkson? If so, you’ll have the chance to spend some time with the talented women when their well-received romantic comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the latest Golden Globe winner for Best Comedy or Musical Movie, comes out on DVD this Tuesday, January 27.
Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Woody Allen, the movie takes place in Barcelona, Spain, where two young American women go on vacation together and end up falling for the same bohemian painter, played by No Country for Old Men Oscar winner Javier Bardem. The love triangle then becomes further complicated when his ex-wife enters the picture to reclaim her man.
I haven’t seen Vicky Cristina Barcelona yet, but the plot definitely sounds entertaining, hence all of the critical acclaim the film has received. Release details and stills from the movie follow the jump.
