And the 66th Annual Golden Globe Actress Winners Are…
Last night, NBC aired the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, sponsored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. At the end of the celebrity-filled celebration, it turned out to be a great occasion for women named Kate Winslet and Laura.
Winslet scored two awards for Best Film Actress in a Drama and Best Film Supporting Actress — for Revolutionary Road and The Reader, respectively — while Laura Linney and Laura Dern topped the nominees in the television categories Best Drama Mini-Series or Movie Actress and Best Mini-Series or Movie Supporting Actress, respectively.
The two victors for lead actress in a television series were previous Oscar winner Anna Paquin for HBO’s vampire newcomer True Blood in the drama category and — of course — smashing Tina Fey of 30 Rock in the comedy or musical category.
