Fringe: ‘Ability’ in Photos

Another installment of Fringe, another dose of lethal what-have-you for Team Olivia.
During the February 10th episode “Ability,” the deadly threat happens to be an orifice-closing (!) toxin that makes its dead victims appear to have no face. Just when you thought the people behind this show couldn’t get any more bizarre with the plots…
Anyhoo — the Germans are back, too, and they not only confront Olivia about her alleged relationship with escaped weirdo prisoner David Robert Jones, now residing stateside, but they also request her team’s help getting to the bottom of the previously mentioned orifice-closing deaths. The second episode of Fox’s new Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku series Dollhouse is called “The Target,” and it will air on Friday, February 20, at 9:01pm EST.
During her latest adventures as an undercover mind-wiped operative, Echo (Dushku) assumes the identity of something called an “ultimate outdoorswoman” for a mission that requires her to head out into the great, wide wilderness and be the dream date for a man who loves the outdoors. There, she ends up getting a memorable lesson in hunting from both perspectives: the hunter and the hunted. I’m gonna venture a guess that the …read more

Terminator: ‘Desert Cantos’ in Photos

The February 20th episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles is getting kind of morbid, even for Team Sarah.
As the preview photos after the jump show, during “Desert Cantos,” the Connors et al work a funeral for clues to the latest catastrophe they must combat, a destroyed factory in a town. While they’re busy with that, Catherine Weaver also tries to get in on the action by sending her own investigator to find a survivor.
It’s just like a Gilmore Girls reunion on this one since the episode features Max Perlich (Charmed), Adam Wylie (Picket Fences), and Jim Jansen (Boston Legal), …read more

More Hope for ‘Lipstick Jungle’ Fans

Earlier this month, NBC Universal production studio president Angela Bromstad made some uplifting comments about the possible fate of NBC’s endangered dramedy Lipstick Jungle.
First and foremost, she confirmed that the series has not been officially canceled. In addition, she indicated that network executives will likely investigate alternatives to allow the show to stick around longer and return next fall for a third season.
Following on the heels of that nice development is more good news this week. Recently, while chatting with Ben Grossman, Editor-in-Chief of the industry news outlet Broadcasting & Cable, NBC Entertainment executive Ben Silverman stated:

Next up on Fringe is the February 3rd episode “The Transformation.”
This time around, two members of Team Olivia go undercover to combat a mysterious virus after something goes down that’s eerily reminiscent of what started “it” all back on the series premiere.
Yet another international jet provides the setting for yet another spooky occurrence that results in yet more weird remains found at the site of a plane crash. After several leads get the investigators nowhere, Peter and Olivia assume new identities to get to the bottom of the mystery.
Better still, terrific Mark Valley returns again as Olivia’s former lover …read more

There’s no new Ugly Betty or Grey’s Anatomy tonight (the repeats “Betty Suarez Land” and “Rise Up,” respectively, are scheduled instead), but fans will get a fresh episode of Private Practice at 10:01pm EST called “Second Chances.”
It’s all about sibling rivalry, literally, during this installment when Addison’s brother Archer arrives in Los Angeles to start working at Oceanside Wellness’ rival clinic Pacific Wellcare. This creates a whole bunch of problems, of course, while pregnant Violet deals with the discovery that neither Pete nor Sheldon wants kids.
