The Starter WifeWe’re now just one week and one day away from the series premiere of USA Network’s The Starter Wife. In support of the big television event, Grrl TV is hosting a super swanky giveaway featuring $350 worth of prizes.

The Starter Wife will premiere as a two-hour episode on Friday, October 10, at 9pm EST on USA Network. The Emmy Award-winning hit original series stars Debra Messing (Will & Grace) in the post-divorce adventures of Molly Kagan (Messing) as she begins a new chapter in her life.

On the heels of its stellar ratings and awards success, USA has brought back the hit miniseries of 2007 as a series containing ten exciting episodes, with Emmy Award winner Messing returning to star and now serving as executive producer.

Reprising their roles as Molly’s two best friends are three-time Emmy Award winner Judy Davis (Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadow) as Joan McAllister and Chris Diamantopoulos (Behind the Camera: Mork & Mindy) as Rodney Evans.

Also returning this season as a special guest star is Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds) as Lou Manahan, former studio head and former boyfriend of Molly.     I’m looking forward to The Starter Wife because even the premise that Debra Messing brings up in commercials is interesting (no one wants to be a starter wife or girlfriend or anything, later having the guy say he could do better with someone else!). I’m certain the plot will be as complex as the premise is, too!

    I fell in love with The Starter Wife last season when it debuted. I knew I was going to enjoy it because of Debra playing the role of Molly. I am looking forward to seeing what this season has in store for Molly and what I love most about it is that you can relate to the show, the storylines, and the characters regardless of whether you are divorced or not. There are character traits well developed in all the main characters that we all can relate to at some level and that makes the characters very approachable and likable. It is a show that is funny, entertaining, and keeps you wanting to come back for more! Did I mention I would love some cool Starter Wife swag because this is my favorite show!

    I love the character Molly. She’s smart, funny and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. I love how she handles these situations she gets into with her closest friends as well as the Hollywood people.
