Mia Maestro Goes from ‘Alias’ to ‘Crusoe’

Mia Maestro/CrusoeI hope I’m not the only Grrl TV fan who still fondly remembers the J.J. Abrams and Jennifer Garner spy drama Alias. Yeah, it rocked in its heyday.

Mia Maestro, the Argentinean actress who played Nadia Santos, the equally capable half-sister of spygirl Sydney Bristow, returns to the tube tonight in a new series, NBC’s action-adventure drama Crusoe.

The show is based on Daniel Defoe’s classic 1719 novel Robinson Crusoe, and Maestro plays Olivia, thus far described only as a so-called “social chameleon.”

Check out Crusoe and Maestro tonight at 8pm EST during the two-hour premiere “Rum and Gunpowder.”

I loved Alias although I thought it dipped a bit in season 5.

Anyway, glad to see her back on a major show. Based on the previews I’ve seen thus far Crusoe has me a bit worried… it looks like it could be a bit ridiculous. I guess we will see tonight.
