‘Samurai Girl’s Brendan Fehr a Booth on ‘Bones’
If you liked Canadian Samurai Girl star Brendan Fehr as brooding martial arts specialist Jake on the recent ABC Family miniseries, you’re probably gonna love him as FBI agent Seeley Booth’s little brother Jared on the Fox hit Bones.
According to the former CSI: Miami and Roswell cast member himself on his own website (don’cha just love when entertainers have their own websites and/or blogs that they actually seem to write themselves?) he began shooting his Bones appearance last Friday, September 19. And, although it was a one-time gig at the time he posted, the actor stated there has been discussion of him reprising the role for an ongoing, multi-episode story arc.
Sounds good to me! Whoever is responsible for casting Bones couldn’t have picked a better actor to play a brother of Booth. Both David Boreanaz and Fehr are unconventionally cute, big guys, so it should be interesting to see them standing side by side. I bet the sibling chemistry is going to be very memorable, especially since Jared will allegedly have a very special relationship with Brennan. Yeah — that kind of special, as in attraction and sex and whatnot.
Fehr’s first appearance is reported to be on the November 5 episode, which coincides with the beginning of the all-important Sweeps period, a hectic time when stunt casting and anxiety-causing cliffhanger-quality plots predominate. A Booth-Brennan hookup sounds perfect, then; it just includes the wrong Booth, I guess.
