‘Ghost Whisperer’ Death Unofficially Confirmed

Jennifer Love Hewitt/Ghost WhispererWell, I guess if a major entertainment website says it’s true, then it must be, right?

Stop reading right now if you prefer not to know the identity of the major and very popular Ghost Whisperer character reportedly/allegedly slated to have a face-to-face with the Grim Reaper during the show’s upcoming fourth season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, all of those persistent rumors about Melinda Gordon’s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) paramedic husband Jim (David Conrad) biting the dust are true. And I quote:

“Although CBS declined to comment, multiple sources confirm what has been buzzing on the Internet for weeks…: Melinda is about to become a widow, as producers have decided to kill off TV hubby Jim early in season 4.” [Boldface emphasis mine]

I think I speak for a number, if not the majority, of fans when I say, “Aw, frak!!!”

There is a little — and I do mean little — relief since the article goes on to note that just because he’s dead doesn’t mean Jim, aka actor David Conrad, won’t still be around. His wife does see and talk to dead people after all.

Still, a dead Jim isn’t really better than no Jim to me. I’d prefer to have him alive, wouldn’t you?

First the best friend, then the professor, now Jim. Slowly my favorite show is becoming one that I will no longer stay home Friday night for.

Losing Jim will be a huge loss
he plays such an important part in the show and in my opinion a dead Jim is no way better then an alive Jim they had so much planned, a baby , jim going to medical school so much of this they needed to figure out and its just heartbreaking. rumors say that Melinda will find out shes pregnant on the episode pieces of you, its a weird situation.. i mean its lovely that she would get to have jims baby and have that part of him still around but horrible in the sence that jim doesnt get the baby he’s always wanted, and that to me is cruel , i just hope it all plays out well.

p.s theres also the worry of.. as jims dieing so early in the season and normally theres 22 episodes in a season and theres 24 this time does this mark the end or our show?? i really hope not
