‘The L Word’ Gets Showgirl Elizabeth Berkley
According to Entertainment Weekly online, Saved by the Bell (who still remembers that one?) and Showgirls actress Elizabeth Berkley (pictured at left with her husband) is heading to the final season of Showtime’s The L Word to play a very important role. During a plotline extending across multiple episodes, she’ll portray a straight woman whom Jennifer Beals’ Bette Porter had a thing for back in her college days.
Berkley and Beals not only appeared together in the 2002 sex-obsessed comedy flick Roger Dodger, but they’re also reportedly good friends in real life. That history should make for some very interesting intimate scenes, then, if there are any between them on the show.
