‘Desperate Housewives’ Adds Four New Scavos
And the new actors who will portray Tom and Lynette Scavo’s (Doug Savant and Felicity Huffman) oldest son Parker, twins Porter and Preston, and daughter Penny are Joshua Moore, Charles and Max Carver, and Kendall Applegate.
Since Desperate Housewives is jumping forward five years into the future when it returns for its fifth season in the fall (you did know that already, right?), the boy Scavos will all be teenagers, while Penny, the youngest child, will be about nine.
I’ve no doubt the newcomers will do a great job, but I sure am going to miss the younger, more familiar faces of cuties Zane Huett and Brent and Shane Kinsman (Penny was played by Darien and Kerstin Pinkerton, but that character isn’t as vivid in my mind). Following the show’s unexpected creative development of leaping ahead in time — it really came out of nowhere, at least for viewers — I hope the young actors land new acting gigs soon.
