TV Land Debuts ‘She’s Got the Look’

Are you in search of a new reality series to watch and the ten thousand already on one network or another just aren’t making the cut? Well, does TV Land have something for you — although I have no clue why that particular network is airing this particular Top Model-esque series.
Called She’s Got the Look, the fashion reality series hosted by supermodel Kim Alexis features Sean Patterson, president of famed modeling agency Wilhelmina, along with co-judges Beverly Johnson, another still-gorgeous supermodel from days gone by, and Robert Verdi, a so-called celebrity stylist, as they attempt to find America’s next big model … 35 years old or more.
I admit the idea of giving “mature” women a chance to shine in the high-fashion spotlight is an interesting premise. But as soon as I saw a former competitor on Sci Fi Channel’s Who Wants to Be a Superhero? series making the cut (Whip-Snap’s alter ego Paula Thomas), I began questioning the show’s value.
In any case, if you need another reality show, this one premieres on TV Land tonight at 10pm EST, and then repeats six more times (and possibly more, I guess) in the next three days: tonight again at 11pm; tomorrow at 12am, 1am, 4pm, and 11pm; and Saturday at 12am. With that many broadcasts to choose from, I’ll probably catch it eventually myself, but Wednesdays at 10pm currently belong to Bravo’s Top Chef.
Check out a sneak peek after the jump.

I think Beverly Johnson has a problem. First, she talks like she may have been a forcep baby and why does she hate the tall white blonde chick who is very cute on the show? Someone needs to tell Beverly she’s washed up and also give her English lessons.
I too question this show’s validity. Did they put “Who Wants to be a Superhero”’s Whip Snap on the show just because she’s whiny and argumentative? Is she really 37? On the Sci Fi show, “Paula” was listed as being 31. I can’t trust this competitor because I don’t know if she’s even “Paula” or a 37 year old woman. This immediately decreases the respectability of the show.
I only watched parts of the first episode, but it seems to me like TV Land is trying to create an easy hit show with a reality series about modeling because it knows that subject will attract a lot of viewers very quickly. The strategy is also working.
But since when has that network cared about fashion? The subject is just too off-base, and Whip-Snap and Beverly are clearly there mainly (or only) for their ability to help create drama.
well i think the show is great ,i would like a chance to be a contestant!
