Starbuck a Doctor?
Okay, maybe not Starbuck the character, but mega popular Battlestar Galactica actress Katee Sackhoff has just been tapped to appear on another popular basic-cable series as — yes — a doctor.
The Hollywood Reporter states that Sackhoff, whose signature Sci Fi Channel series is currently in its last season, will join the cast of the naughty FX medical drama Nip/Tuck when it returns in 2009. She’ll play a doctor named Theodora “Teddy” Lowe, described as a woman who gets on Sean McNamara’s (Dylan Walsh) last nerve.
Actually, the Reporter specifically says she “challenges” him, but we all know what that means when it comes to the bad boys of plastic surgery. Sackhoff will stick around for four installments as of now, although I bet they’ll try to hold onto her longer once the season gets underway.
